Stauff and Volz work together in tube coupling technology

Specialists in hydraulic components plan a long-term co-operation

The Stauff Group, with registered offices in Werdohl, Germany and Volz Gruppe GmbH located in Deilingen, Germany, will announce Stauff's investment in the Volz Group at the 2015 Hanover Trade Fair. Stauff is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality pipework components and hydraulic accessories, while Volz has an international reputation as a manufacturer of high quality carbon and stainless steel tube couplings and connectors.

The background is the new range of tube connectors Stauff Connect, which Stauff will exhibit to the international trade public for the first time at the Hanover Fair. The company is expanding its portfolio to include a further product group with in-house development and manufacture with this step. "The Volz Group is the ideal partner to manufacture our range of tube connectors Joerg Deutz, Stauff Group CEO, explains. "The business investment in a long-term co-operation gives us direct access to extensive manufacturing capacities and many years of expertise in the area of DIN carbon steel tube connectors."

Volz will manufacture large production runs of the extensive product range at the company's head office in Deilingen, while small and medium-sized runs for immediate delivery will be made at a specially set-up, in-house processing centre at Stauff in Werdohl. This will guarantee customers maximum availability and delivery reliability.

"Stauff is a strong co-operation partner for us in the carbon steel sector. At the same, we have significantly expanded the capacities for our stainless steel range. Comprehensive in-vestment in our machinery, testing equipment and storage capacities have made us even more efficient," Dr Christoph Fleig, Managing Director of the Volz Group, explains the bene-fits of the co-operation. It has already proved its worth in de-veloping and producing manufacturing drawings of all the components for the Stauff Connect range. The intention is that there will be even greater co-operation in research and devel-opment. "As with all of our products we have set the bench-mark very high for quality and service for Stauff Connect," Joerg Deutz explains. "In Volz we have found a reliable partner with which to achieve this."
