Stauff spreads its reach in South East Asia

In order to further improve customer service in South East Asia, one of the world's fastest growing industrial regions, Stauff has recently decided to spread its reach by establishing sales and support offices in Malaysia and Vietnam.

The Malaysian operation, Stauff South East Asia Sdn Bhd located in an industrial lot in Subang Jaya, Selangor, will serve as local headquarters and starting point for further expansion:

It comprises a state-of-the-art logistics and distribution centre that stocks the full range of Stauff fluid power products and will offer operational support for the entire geographical region.

The original start up of the business in Malaysia was soon followed by the foundation of Stauff Vietnam Ltd. (Công ty TNHH Stauff Vietnam) and the opening of the sales and support office in Hồ Chí Minh City, the largest city of the country. Besides the domestic market, Stauff Vietnam Ltd. will also serve customers in Laos and Cambodia.

Jörg Deutz, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Stauff Group, says the choice of Malaysia is in line with the company’s emphasis on Local solutions for individual customers worldwide. By being close to its customers, Stauff is able to respond faster and provide more personalised service.

"Our products are with you and not on the road," Deutz likes to say to business partners in far-flung places.

Both regional operations are headed by Yves Clerc who had previous experience heading an expansion project in Eastern Europe for a consumer electronic retail group as well as establishing a distribution network in the former CIS states for a Swiss producer of textiles used for screen printing and industrial filtration.

The existing network of Authorised Stockists, agents and distributors of Stauff Corporation Pty. Ltd., the company's branch in Australia which has served customers in South East Asia for many years, remains in place and will work as close as possible with the two new organisations in order to provide best service to the market.
