Cleverly combined

Stauff SGB series giant air breathers can be quickly and easily installed on the top of hydraulic containers with the help of a bayonet adapter and the corresponding bayonet flange. If a basket is added as an additional protection against contamination (see figure), the combination not only provides continuous air circulation and pressure equalization in the tank, but can also be used as a practical filler neck. If necessary, the giant air breather can be unscrewed in a flash and hydraulic fluid can be topped up.

This creates real added value for tank and attachment manufacturers, because the smart dual use of a fully functional air filter as a filler port means that considerably fewer components have to be purchased, stocked and managed. Work steps in the production and finishing of the container lid are also eliminated. Thanks to the compact implementation, the assembly is ideally suited for applications where a space-saving design is important.
