Stauff Connect: the new tube connector system

Stauff presents own tube connector system at Hanover Fair

Stauff is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of pipe components and hydraulic accessories with headquarters in Werdohl in Germany. The company will introduce the products from the Stauff Connect range – its own tube connector system for hydraulic systems – at the Hanover Fair 2015. With this step, the company is expanding its portfolio with another product group from in-house development and production.

Stauff Connect is a comprehensive tube connector range made of steel, consisting of 24° cutting ring connectors, connectors with 24° sealing cones and O-ring, 24° welding cones and 37° flare fittings. The dimensions and designs of the connectors comply with the latest version of the standards DIN 2353 and ISO 8434-1. They were designed for the safe and leak-free connection of metric tubes with diameters of 4 to 42 mm. The product range is completed by check and shuttle valves, threaded reducers, fastening components and other accessories. Corresponding mounting tools and machines are also available.

“With Stauff Connect, we offer our customers DIN steel connectors with the same high requirements for quality and service that we apply to all our products and that we have been known for in the market for many years,” says Joerg Deutz, CEO of the Stauff Group, which is nationally and internationally renowned, primarily as a market and quality leader for clamps for fixing industrial tubes and hoses.

With 800 bar for selected types and sizes, the pressure resistance of the fittings clearly exceeds the requirements of DIN 2353 and ISO 8434-1. Unless indicated otherwise, the components are designed for the operating pressure with a quadruple safety factor.

Thanks to the high-quality zinc/nickel surface, Stauff Connect offers over 1,200 hours resistance against red rust or base metal corrosion in the salt spray mist test in line with EN ISO 9227 – outstanding corrosion protection that goes beyond previous market standards. This significantly exceeds the requirements for the highest corrosion protection class K5 as defined by the VDMA in standards sheet 24576.

Joerg Deutz: “We stand for the highest level of thoroughness, from development and production of the individual components to quality control, logistics and delivery performance. That naturally also applies to our new tube connector range Stauff Connect.” All components and the corresponding production drawings were designed by the Stauff research and development specialists. The products are tested thoroughly and consistently developed further at the in-house technology centre.

To obtain immediate access to extensive manufacturing capacities, Stauff has acquired an interest in the Volz Group, the internationally renowned manufacturer of high-quality tube and hose connections from Deilingen/Germany. In addition to the possibilities for producing the extensive product range in large quantities there, additional production capacities with state-of-the-art machining centres were created at the Stauff factory in Werdohl. These allow the production and machining of small and medium series as well as of customer-specific variants within the shortest time possible. The high level of quality management established at Stauff, the powerful logistics and the warehouse capacities were further expanded to meet the requirements of the new product range.

“Stauff Connect will be available to customers and trade partners with the market launch in April 2015, with all the advantages of cooperation with our company: great product variety and quality, high availability, unconditional loyalty and a high level of consulting competence. We feel very well prepared for this step and after months of preparations we are now really looking forward to meeting the expectations of the market,” says Joerg Deutz in regard to the presentation of Stauff Connect at the Hanover Fair.
